Porém, os tremores já foram sentidos pela a população de diversos estados.
Segundo alguns geógrafos, há possibilidades de haver “fissuras” na placa Sul-americana e que podem estar causando os tremores. Outros pesquisadores acreditam que os tremores podem estar ligados às ações tectônicas da Cordilheira dos Andes, que se encontra ainda em processo de formação.
O fato é que o interior do planeta é algo enigmático e muito dinâmico. Ele vem sendo desvendado há algumas décadas, ou seja, muito recentemente, quando pesquisadores retomaram a Teoria da Deriva Continental de Alfred Wegener.
Quanto à origem dos tremores no Brasil, ainda não se sabe com precisão o que pode estar ocasionando tal fenômeno. De qualquer forma, não se pode mais afirmar que no Brasil estamos livres das ações tectônicas, o que foi considerado durante décadas como uma verdade quase absoluta.
